@0dAb OFC you can do a live rcording as "good" as studio.. if you WANT to. You "just" need a third set of sound-engineers, mix, effects and enough tacks on your recording equipment. It's all about how much you are willing to do (and pay) If you "just" take the feed from the audience-mix it will get lesser quality, but you claim it's impossible, and that is absolutely not true.

@stespo87 Just to clear things out I'm NOT saying that Oldfield DIDN'T played live. But you NEED to realize that this is NOT live sound. Don't be fooled by your eyes, use your ears. If you don't trust your ears trust what EVERY spectrum analyzer can tell you. I don't own the live dvd so I don't know what kind of audio is there, maybe the audio track was switched by the user who uploaded the video. Believe me or not, this is not live. Actually, if you don't believe me I really don't care.

@stespo87 So tell me, what so evident differences are there? I'm curious. You clearly have no idea of what you're talking about. If you can tell a single difference between this live and the album version you're not dumb, you're just badly hearing impaired. By the way: there is no such thing as "record sound in the air", unless you plan to record what you hear with a crappy smartphone. Live sound always came straight from the master track since live recording was born.

@0dAb differences between this live and studio version are so EVIDENT that you have to be dumb, not to hear them. By the way: you can indeed have such a good quality from a live if you record the stream just before the output and not the sound in the air. You don't have to be a sound engineer to know this, as i'm not.
